Truth Bullets, also known as Verbal Bullets (コトダマ Kotodama), are a gameplay element of the Danganronpa series. They are used in various Class Trial minigames to "shoot" evidence at weak points in arguments. They are usually gained during the Investigation Period of a case. As new information pertaining to the case is discovered, Truth Bullets may change.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair introduces Truth Blades, which replace Truth Bullets during Rebuttal Showdowns, but serve a near-identical purpose.
Truth Bullets and Truth Blades return in the game Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, where a new Lie Bullet mechanic is added (See Nonstop Debate: Lying).
A mechanic by the same name is used in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, as ammunition for the Megaphone Hacking Gun, to fight against Monokuma Units and manipulate some elements of the environment (See Megaphone Hacking Gun).
