Hiyoko Saionji (西園寺 日寄子 Saionji Hiyoko) is one of the characters featured in Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World
Her relationship with Mikan Tsumiki appears slightly more friendlier than in the real world, most likely because that is how Nagito views them.
Hiyoko's appearance is presented in Nagito's imaginary world post-growth spurt and thus she is shown to be much taller and bustier. She has only one ponytail tied back with a pink scrunchie. Her hair is light blonde and she has chestnut colored eyes. Hiyoko wears a pink kimono with a white floral pattern, and a multicolored obi sash. She also wears zori (Japanese sandals). Her outfit reflects the fact she is the Ultimate Traditional Dancer.
Hiyoko's nature is far more mellow in Nagito's imaginary world over that of her real-life counterpart. Throughout she is seen happily conversing with Mahiru and later attending Kazuichi's funeral with the rest of her classmates and crying after, showing she cares a lot more for her classmates.
However her aggressive and malicious nature is still a part of her, shown when Nagito trips on a discarded glass bottle and accidentally rolls down the path into Mikan while Hiyoko is walking alongside her. Hiyoko becomes jealous and violent as she believes she is the only person who is allowed to 'beat up' on Mikan, she towers over Nagito in an intimidating way which enlightens that this side of her character being her enjoyment to bully others is still present.
Hiyoko returned as a part of Nagito's imaginary world following his death from the Neo World Program.
Before class began in the morning, Hiyoko and Mahiru are seen happily conversing with each other.
Hiyoko later attended Kazuichi's funeral due to him being murdered by the World Destroyer. After the ceremony is finished, the Class 77-B wait outside in the rain before leaving, Hiyoko is the only member of the class who is crying of which Mahiru stands beside her in support.
After Nagito awoke from the simulation, he learned that all of his friends, including Hiyoko, were alive and awake from the Neo World Program. He boarded the boat with the rest of Class 77-B and they all then headed for the Future Foundation Headquarters.
The Illusory Class 77-B
Hiyoko has been shown walking to school and back home with Mikan, implying that they treated each other as friends in Nagito's imaginary world. However, this did not mean that her relationship with Mikan was completely different from their real-life counterparts. When Nagito accidentally slipped on a discarded glass bottle and rolled down the street into Mikan, Hiyoko became jealous and aggressive, as she believed that she was only one allowed to 'beat up' on Mikan. While this does, in some ways, showcase Hiyoko's protectiveness of Mikan, it also shows that Hiyoko is rather fond of bullying Mikan.
Hiyoko and Mahiru both converse happily with each other in morning class showing the two to still be good friends like their real-life counterparts.
Hiyoko is later seen crying after Kazuichi's funeral and Mahiru is there to comfort her, showing the caring nature between the two.
While Hiyoko didn't converse with Kazuichi directly, she attended his funeral after his death and is the only member of the class to cry after the service. This could possibly show that she saw Kazuichi as a good friend and cared about his wellbeing, of which her real-life counterpart did not.
