It's been over two weeks since your demotion, and while we haven't seen you since and you're understandably upset, would you please be courteous enough to remove all references to being an Admin from your profile, and your message wall message? We do not want to cause any confusion for editors. You're welcome to refer to yourself on your profile as a former-admin, as Jake has done on his.
We'll give you until the end of the month to edit your profile. If you have not removed references to being an admin by Sept. 1, we will edit it on your behalf, but we obviously do not want to have to do that.
The other Admins, Scottie and Joey, and myself have discussed what the consequences should be, and have come to the conclusion that a permanent demotion is the proper decision. This isn't wholly because of your inactivity, however being inactive for nearly two months without communicating to us properly is what we consider to be the final straw. More on that below.
This demotion does come a lot though, from your past actions. While we know you can't control Gel, or what he does, you did in fact, still engage with him after he hacked the old Twitter account (he changed the e-mail to something YOU should've recognized), HARASSED me, as well as Scottie, and let him use your account to POST STOLEN SUMMARIES after he was BANNED which I think is against FANDOM'S TOS as well. We didn't demote you, or punish you after this because we wanted to give you more chances, we don’t like losing people without giving them a fair shot.
We also found that your work, at times, was not up to a great standard which ended up being more trouble than it was worth. This includes your work on the Demon Hunting page, Gibboura Massacre, Celestia's FTE, never checking the preview when managing your edits and refusing to use spell check when requested to do so in order to improve your sentences. Sometimes this would lead to available staff members committing themselves to your work when they had other projects to fulfil, it should’ve been yours to take care of.
However, you final chance came when you removed an Admin wall warning, which you knew was against the rules yet still chose to disobey, which resulted in a week block. After this point, you were told you were on very thin ice, and any more negative behavior would result in a demotion. Which leads me to...
Nearly two months of inactivity. Now the inactivity isn't an issue, it happens, real life happens, we know this, it's why I first put in the inactivity grace period to begin with. However the issue is you not communicating with us about this. The fact we HAD TO ASK YOU where you went after a month or so of 0 communication is bad enough. After that you gave us a date you'd be back, and we waited. Yet again, you failed to communicate with us when you weren't able to come back at your given date. Again we understand real life happens, however, I do not think it's too hard to pop into the Discord, or onto one of our walls and notify us. Or even on the twitter. We can’t accept any excuse on this.
All of these instances I have described showcase a clear lack of responsibility in your position as an admin, and we, honestly, can't have ANY staff member continue this behaviour after multiple chances, much less an admin. The inactivity part is rather important, because this wiki's problems have all come from admins just, abandoning the wiki and leaving it unmanned. And in Riku's case, he was left ALONE to man the active wiki because the other two admins abandoned their posts.
Hell, I'll even give a more recent example: myself. For the first month, maybe two of taking up the admin post, I was completely alone in monitoring the wiki because you, Riku, and Moon wouldn't monitor the RWA feed because of spoilers. It was not fun, doable, but not fun at all. It could of easily caused burnout if I didn't have Scottie join and eventually you and Riku helping out. I’m sure Riku would describe this same situation too being the only admin during DR3's time, but anyway. You see why activity is important?
You know in the two months you've been inactive, we've had about... two/three cons with several pieces of news, VA announcements, and lots of demo news? We've kept our readers up to date on this news, both twitter and the wiki, but it's a lot to handle by ourselves. So we were waiting on you to help when you said you'd be back however you never showed back up. By this point, we can't rely on you. You say it won't happen again but we can't trust that after we’ve given you multiple chances to show some resolve. Especially not with V3 coming out within two months which will be a VERY high traffic time for the wiki in terms of gathering content.
It is with regret that we must remove you from your staff position for these reasons, as certain acts you have committed are in direct violation of the rules we have set out for the Danganronpa Wiki. I will be removing you from the staff discord shortly, as well as demoting you on the wiki soon after.
Hi! Admin Monollama here! This is just you notify you that you have currently passed the "one month" of the three month inactivity grace period we've set for staff members. Which means you haven't contributed in a significant manner to the wiki in over a month. Which is totally fine! We understand life happens! And this isn't a warning, just a reminder of the inactivity grace period, as well as encourage more editing from you if possible! :)
Heyo! This wall post is to make you aware of our newly implemented Admin Guidelines we now have in place for our Admins, and by extension, other Staff Members. Please, at your earliest convenience read over the page and agree to it by replying to this message. Thank you! <3
If at all possible, please post all your translations as comments in this thread along with some kind of photo of the manga pages, so that we can prove they're official translations not fan ones. It's very important so that fan translations aren't contributed without us being able to confirm them. I'll update the first post with the talents as you share them. Thanks again!
Your ban has expired and you will be given your admin rights back momentarily. You are meant to be a leader, and set an example for editors on how to act on our wikia as a prestigious member of our staff given your role. So please refrain from breaking our rules again in the future.
Because of you broke the rule of removing a Wall Warning from an Admin (from me no less), which IS listed on our Guidelines page, you have been demoted and banned from editing the wiki for a week. I hope you see this as a learning experience, and strive to prevent this from happening in the future.
Why was Chiaki's NDRV3 bonus mode event moved to her AI's page? It is using her sprite, but the dialogue in the game heavily implies it's the human version of her (she's class rep, she's not an AI, she doesn't talk with pauses or use "I think" like her AI, she doesn't nod off...).
Since she haves the AI model and comes out specially out the DR2 card machine, the admins and I decided to move her to the AI version until the game's localization comes out, so if NISA decides to somehow change the text, it will be much easier to know who was it.
To expand on this, the Chiaki, while seems to take inspiration from the DR3/Human Chiaki, still seems to be based more heavily from DR2/AI Chiaki. As Anime Dude14 had mentioned in the Danganronpa 2 Card Machine*. The Bonus Mode itself is also dubious canon at best, where there a mix of lots of different canons (Junko being labeled SHSL Despair, Mukuro going to school dressed as Junko, Izuru being there, all the Monokuma Units attending, etc).
Because of this, we are waiting for the localization to be released, where it will be easier to understand her current status. We're deciding to err on the side of caution at this time and simply keep any Bonus Mode content for Chiaki on her AI page to avoid confusion.
- This Card Machine is used to gain the three different levels of characters in the Bonus Mode to play as. The Chiaki ones are all based from her DR2 version, not DR3.
Hello! Here's fellow admin from polish danganronpa wiki! I want to ask you a question (to be honest, I have no idea who could I ask about this, so as I know you from our conversation about languages I thought about you). Well... I have a little problem with...um... forum on my wiki. I don't know how can I create it. I mean... I just wanted to make sure. What should I do? Should I ask someone from fandom support to help me? Or can I create it by myself?
Sorry if it's stupid question but I'm not so good with these things. I asked support for help but they said that there are discussions not forums. So, there's no way to create a forum?
I would be grateful if I could know more about this.
Hiya! Sorry to butt in, but I'm also an admin here, hello! Nice to meet one of our sister admins :)
I believe I read somewhere recently on the Community site that Forums are being phased out now completely for Wikias made after a certain point, or that don't already have one, because Discussions work better on mobile. The only option now is to use discussions, you can find out more about them here:
This is your FINAL warning on the matter of your friend, Gel or whoever they are, harassing both myself and Admin Scottier with uncomfortable and sexually-charged material. If asked evidence can and will be provided, but we are both very aware of such things.
As you know a wall warning is the last step in a possible suspension from staff, or a permanent demotion from staff. So do not take this warning lightly and take steps to prevent this from escalating any further.
Im very sorry guys, I didn't meant to do any harm, I have tried to stop him, I even gave you evidence, this is what happens when people that you know try to. I dont mean any harm, it's my "friend" who is doing this! Why am I the one who is going to suffer the consequences? Is it because... he keeps doing it? I'm very sorry about everything I have done, I have tried to yell at hima and even hitting him sometimes.
