Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

The MonoMono Machine is an in-game machine that give presents, items that can be gifted to the other characters in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

When you spend your Free Time with your classmates, you will have the chance to give them presents. Every classmate likes different presents and it will affect your friendship. You can get presents from the "MonoMono Machine" in the School Store on the first floor, which is marked with a yen sign on the map. If you insert some Monokuma Tokens, you will randomly receive one of the many presents available.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

In Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, there are two vending machines in this game. The first one, is located at the Rocketpunch Market. Unlike the vending machine in the last game, this one is not random. It is stocked with a limited selection of gifts that you can purchase with Monocoins. Monocoins can be gained by collecting Hidden Monokumas, completing Class Trials, raising a pet till it's fully grown, completing a stage for the Magical Monomi mini-game, and completing a round of Island Mode - the extra mode you can unlock.

The second vending machine, the MonoMono Yachine, is located at the beach. This one is exactly like the first game's capsule machine: the more coins you put in the lower the chances of receiving a gift you already have - which is indicated by the percentage on the top left of the screen.

  • After obtaining a new item, there is a small chance that "LUCKY!" will appear onscreen in green letters, and the MonoMono Machine will then drop an extra item. Said item has the same repeat chance as if you spent a certain amount of coins (exact value unknown), and can even trigger the same lucky process again, if you are lucky enough.
