The PlayStation 4 (abbreviated as PS4) is a video game home console created by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The PS4 was announced on February 20, 2013 as a successor to the PlayStation 3. The console launched on November 15th, 2013, in North America, November 29th, 2013, in Europe and Australia, and February 22, 2014 in Japan. As of December 2016, over 53mil consoles have been sold worldwide.
On September 7, 2016, Sony unveiled two hardware revisions of PlayStation 4; a slim build of the console, and a "Pro" version with an upgraded GPU and higher CPU clock rate to support 4K gameplay on supported titles. All models, including the original sold in 2013, support HDR10 high-dynamic-range color.

Limited Edition Console
A limited edition PlayStation 4 console (Playstation® 4 × ニューダンガンロンパV3 Limited Edition) featuring Monokuma was announced by Sony on the 14th December 2016 as part of promotion for the then-upcoming Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. The console was released on January 12, 2017 and retailed for 33480¥ for the 500GB version and 38480¥ for the 1TB version. The console came in themed packaging, with a pre-installed Danganronpa V3 menu theme.
