Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a Japanese visual novel game developed by Spike Chunsoft, and the first game in the Danganronpa series. It was released Japan on November 25, 2010 for PlayStation Portable, and later ported to PS Vita, iOS/Android, PS4 and PC. The game was localized and released in English by NIS America on February 11, 2014. The game was re-released with additional content as part of the Danganronpa 1.2 Reload collection on PS Vita, PS4, and PC alongside the game's sequel Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Danganronpa: The Animation was a close, but very abridged, 13-episode anime adaptation of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc created by animation studio Lerche with assistance from Spike Chunsoft and Kazutaka Kodaka. The full Japanese voice cast of the game reprised their roles for the series. It first began airing in Japan July 4, 2013 and was simulcast with English subtitles by Funimation. Funimation later released a fully English dubbed version of the anime on November 9, 2015. |
