This article is covers Celestia Ludenberg's School Mode events, which feature in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. In this article you will find a guide to which trip options will give the best results, full transcripts of each trip, and transcripts of her Trigger Happy Heart event and School Mode ending.
After choosing where to go on a trip, Makoto will have a series of conversation topics to choose from. Depending on the option chosen, Makoto will receive a different response:
Best Option
1 heart
Good Option
½ heart
Bad Option
No hearts
Worst Option
No hearts
When getting close to 10 full hearts, Celestia's Trigger Happy Heart event will be triggered, which will give Makoto an insight into Celestia's inner thoughts.
Achieving 10 hearts will unlock Celestia's ending at the end of School Mode. On the 51st day of School Mode, Makoto will be alone in the Gym with any characters that the player has earned full max reputation with. Talking to them will trigger a final dialogue choice option. If the player selects the correct answer, they will receive that character's special present - that character's underwear. This will also unlock a heart icon next to that character's picture's on subsequent playthroughs of School Mode.
Trips
Dining Hall
So what do you like to do at night?
I spend most evenings alone in my room, reading and drinking tea. Luckily there are enough books here that I don’t think I will ever run out.
Ah, and in case you are wondering, it is black tea. Contrary to what you might imagine, I am not fond of oolong or green tea.
I think we both had a pretty good time.
How do you get your hair to do that?
…Why does it matter?
Are you perhaps thinking of trying this look yourself?
Er, no… that’s definitely not it…
If it is simply idle curiosity, take the time to research and find out for yourself.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Let’s pack a lunch and go somewhere.
Pack a lunch…? I expect you will make sure the sandwiches are prepared by top chefs, yes?
Um…no…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
All the food here is really good.
That is actually quite true. Every meal has been fully acceptable.
Which makes me wonder… who is preparing these meals for us? If it is Monokuma himself, he truly is a high-quality piece of machinery. But to use such technology on cooking…
Actually, I am fine with that. A fine meal helps expand the soul.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
When I’m starving, it’s burger time!
Absolutely not. That type of food is much too crude for my taste. Not to mention the threat of the contents dripping out all over my lovely garments…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Do you know how to cook?
What a foolish question. Why would I ever have to know how to cook?
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
For breakfast, Japanese style is best.
I am afraid not. My day begins with jam or butter on a freshly baked baguette, and cafe au lait.
Pickled vegetables and miso soup is the last thing I want in the morning.
Although… gyoza is allowed. That irresistibly crude fragrance is most refreshing.
Gyoza in the morning? Isn’t she worried about smelling like garlic for the rest of the day?
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Want something to drink?
Ah. Milk tea, please.
That is okay, is it not?
I hope you are not planning to tell me it is too much trouble…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
So, what do you want to talk about?
Do you seriously have nothing planned for us? You invited me out, and you had not even a single topic of conversation in mind?
Are you always this ill-prepared?
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
School Store
Is there anything interesting in here?
Interesting… The definition of “interesting” changes from person to person. So the word itself is something of a fraud.
Perhaps I should test your value system and your sense of taste. Find out what makes you tick. And later on…
Ah, sorry. I was talking to myself just now. Please forget I said anything.
Now, pick something out for me. Something you find “interesting”.
I think we both had a pretty good time.
That’s an accordion.
Yes, I can tell by looking at it.
So by you explicitly stating, “That’s an accordion”… how is that supposed to expand our field of discussion? Just curious…
Gah… that piercing gaze…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Who do you think would buy art like that?
Moments like this show who has been raised to recognize real worth from a young age. It may be useful for me to raise you to a certain level of culture and sophistication.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
That vase looks pretty expensive…
It does indeed look quite valuable. If I were to display it in my home, I can’t imagine anything but roses inside.
Of course, you must be very conscious of the language of flowers and what you are saying. For example, I would recommend never giving yellow roses as a gift. Too many meanings…
Though I don’t imagine *you* will ever have to worry about giving someone a gift like that.
Well… if you like, I would allow you to give me such a gift.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
You think there’s any red bean bread here?
Do you like that type of thing? I am not a fan. It is so very…common.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
You wanna give the toy machine a shot?
If you want to play with it, you can do so alone. It is a very stupid machine…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Do you see anything you want?
If you wish to get me a present, I have no reason to decline.
However… Whatever you get me, you had better make sure it is appropriate.
Hmhm… I look forward to seeing what you choose.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Who would buy a set of armor…?
Someone who admires that kind of thing, I imagine. Can you not imagine a suit of armor adorning the hallway of a luxurious European castle?
This particular armor, however, is a little too… rustic for my taste.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Is that lantern for sale, too?
You couldn’t possibly want such a thing, could you? I fear to imagine how your room must look…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Library
I love reading!
A young lady locked away lends itself to reading; reading lends itself to a young lady locked away.
It is a very powerful image, is it not? So, shall we spend some time reading?
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
I’m gettin’ kinda sleepy…
For many people, too many words does seem to induce sleepiness. Luckily, I do not suffer from such an affliction. If you need to lay down, please go ahead.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Finally, we get to be alone…
…
…
Keep your hands off me, you brute! I did not give you permission to come lusting after me!
I don’t think things could’ve gone any worse than that. Crap…
The interior design here is really nice…
Indeed. I must give credit to whoever picked out the molding for this room.
In public facilities like this, function is generally the focus, with form mostly forgotten.
When I look at this school and all its rooms… I have to wonder if perhaps another ultimate student designed and decorated it. That person would make an ideal potential servant. Or perhaps they used an entire battery of pupils…
Hmhm… I am becoming more and more excited by this school life of ours.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
There’s so many books in here…
Of course there are. This *is* a library, after all. …
Is that all you wanted to say?
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Is that camera on?
I took time out of my day to spend time with you. Please do not remind me of such unpleasantness, yes?
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Do you want to read something?
If I had a cup of milk tea right now, the scene would be perfect.
Makoto. Make me a cup of milk tea right away.
And in the future, I expect you to do things *before* you are told. That is how you earn points.
Umm… so which part should I ask her about first?
I think we both had a pretty good time.
Do you want to study?
The fact that you automatically associate the library with studying reveals your intellectual level. But what gives you the idea that I would want or need to study at your level? I am going to read. You may do whatever you like.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Should we organize the books?
*Sigh* Could you please think before you speak? While the books are certainly covered in a sheet of dust, their organization seems flawless. Perhaps you should observe your surroundings a little more carefully next time.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Rec Room
Wanna play Othello?
Othello? You’re challenging me to a game of strategy?
Fine with me. I will show you just how outclassed you are. Oh, but don’t worry. This is just for my own entertainment. I don’t intend to make you wager.
When I can already see victory as soon as the challenge is placed, betting simply spoils things.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Let’s play some pool.
Are you saying you want to play against me? Do you perhaps assume that you stand a better chance because this is not a pure gambling game? Did you really think this through?
But a man can never go back on his word, right? So let’s begin…
I think we both had a pretty good time.
Want to read a magazine?
Are you perhaps blind, Makoto? Among all the options laid out before you, *that* is what you suggest? I simply don’t understand you.
I was wrong about you. You are clearly E-rank.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Hope’s Peak really is amazing…
If this room did not exist, I would have died of boredom by now.
Still, not one of the students here stands even the slightest chance against me.
Well… if it really came down to it, perhaps Byakuya… He seems to have enough worthwhile knowledge that if he were to try very hard, perhaps he could keep up. Unfortunately…
…we have not stood as opponents.
I think we both had a pretty good time.
I’m not sure I can play any games here…
I fear you are correct. There is not a single game here where you and I could stand as equals. Of course, there is no game in the entire *world* in which you and I would be equals…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Look at all the Monokuma Bottles!
I have absolutely zero interest in them…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Is that a slot machine back there?
It is a little too cutesy, is it not? Then again, it is not as if we are at an actual casino. Perhaps that is an appropriate level of cuteness for a school slot machine.
Officially, gambling is illegal in Japan, you know. That includes slot machines. To get around this, they added a vending machine to it, so that technically you are just buying gum.
Perhaps they did the same thing here, so that they were legally allowed to install the machine.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Let’s give darts a shot.
They even have darts here…
I imagine you think that all you have to do is throw the dart at the board, right?
Heavens, you are so pathetically misinformed. Darts is a game of advanced psychological warfare. Once you’ve established your technique, then the real joy of the game is revealed.
However, I also like the idea of teaching you said technique and giving you the proper tools…
I think we both had a pretty good time.
Kinda boring here, huh…?
Hmph. And who is to blame for that? I only see you standing before me. How unfortunate…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Music Room
There’s some pretty nice equipment here…
Naturally. This school is home to the nation’s most ultimate students, yes? Top-class students deserve only top-class facilities.
In a way, this entire school is a stage designed to show the world our talent.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Are you a good singer?
I’m not sure I can understand your reason for asking, but… there is nothing I can’t do, if I so desire. …
But do you think you are qualified to hear my singing voice in a place like this? Hmhmhm…
I think we both had a pretty good time.
Can you play any instruments?
I would rather listen to a first-rate musician than bother playing something myself.
So that’s a no, then…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
I wanna do some karaoke.
Karaoke…? If everyone else is going to join in, then…that might provide some amount of entertainment. But *only* if everyone else participates.
Are you confident in your singing voice, Makoto?
I think we both had a pretty good time.
I’d love to hear Sayaka sing sometime…
There’s no guarantee you will be pleased with how she sounds in person. What you’re used to hearing is filtered, modified, and edited to make it sound as good as possible. Performing live requires a different set of abilities entirely.
Set your expectations too high, and there’s a very good chance you will be let down.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Wanna listen to a CD or something?
If you absolutely insist, I won’t stop you. But is there some pressing need to listen to something right here and now? Also, if you do put something on, please ensure that it sets the proper mood.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
That piano looks pretty expensive…
I imagine so. I’ll have something like this in my own home one day.
Not that I have any intention of actually playing… It’s simply the perfect fit for a European castle. As far as I am concerned, it is a necessity.
Which means I should probably start thinking about my potential pianist servants. Hmhm…
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
This stage is really nice looking.
It is indeed. …
Oh, is that all you had to say? How am I supposed to react to such a bland, meaningless statement?
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Maybe we should sing something…
You mean the two of us? A duet? Why?
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Garden
Wanna walk around a bit?
Walk, you say?
It might be nice to take some time out and go for a leisurely stroll.
Many exotic plants are in full bloom, and the smell here is not entirely unpleasant. I would venture to say that this kind of place is good for both body and soul.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
The happy blue sky kinda cheers me up…
Fake though it may be, it is nice to have “some” sort of sky to look at… A person may go their entire life without understanding the true nature of plants like these. And yet, people still show grace and make an effort to care for them.
If you were a plant, what kind of life would you want to lead?
Hmhmhm…
Is she asking me to think like a plant…?
I think we both had a pretty good time.
I’d love to just lay down and go to sleep.
Yes, this area is indeed soothing enough that sleep might come quite easily.
… Is that what you were hoping I would say?
You honestly think I would lay down here, where insects could get to me! Foolish buffoon!
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Wanna do some gardening?
Gardening…?
I generally like to leave the gardening to the gardener.
But I suppose there is no harm in gaining a certain amount of hands-on experience. Maybe doing it myself will help me to understand how to give more precise instructions later on.
Make sure you learn all you can about gardening, okay Makoto?
…Huh? Why me?
I think we both had a pretty good time.
It’s super humid in here, huh?
And here I thought you hadn’t noticed.
If we stay here too much longer, I will be simply covered in sweat.
You must have known that, and yet you brought me here anyway. I am surprised at your thoughtlessness.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
That flower’s kinda creepy…
It really is. And I am not comfortable with how big it is, either. So unbelievably crude…
Just looking at it makes me feel slightly ill.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Something seems off…
What are you talking about? Do you mean you and me spending time together? *You* invited *me*, remember? And now you go and say something like that?
Or are you worried about what those around you might think? Do not concern yourself with them. As long as we are satisfied with how we spend our time, that is all that matters.
Please keep that in mind as you keep me company.
So she still doesn’t have any desire to get close to any of the others, huh…?
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Do you like flowers and stuff?
…I don’t *dis*like them. I have never grown anything myself, however, and I do not plan to start. Flowers are not a necessary part of my life or my future.
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Do you think flower fortune-telling works?
Don’t be ridiculous. Of course not. And in the act, you snuff out the life of an innocent flower, just to make yourself feel better. It is barbaric.
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
General Reactions
These dialogues are the reactions Makoto will receive at the end of the trip, depending on which choice was made.
Best Option
May I be honest with you? I had a lot of fun with you today…
Listen, Makoto… Do you think we could do this again sometime? Please feel free to talk to me whenever you feel like it.
…Is that okay with you? I don’t usually talk this openly, do I?
Anyway, shall we head back?
Good Option
That was quite productive, in its own way. I honestly had no reason to believe I would gain anything by spending time with you. Hmhm. Please entertain me again at your earliest opportunity. …I will be waiting.
Bad Option
*Sigh* I must say, that was incredibly boring. Do you always waste people’s time like that. Positively sinful… Please try not to commit any further crimes.
Well…if you’ll excuse me.
Worst Option
… I don’t believe we will be spending any more time together. Do you know what that means? Regardless, you have my earnest thanks.
Well then…
Trigger Happy Heart
Trigger Happy Heart is a minigame in School mode. It uses mechanics similar to the Non Stop Debate trial minigame during Class Trials. During this event, Makoto will get insight into Celestia's inner thoughts, and can refute or confirm something she is anxious about by using special Truth Bullets called "negation" and "affirmation". Successfully navigating this event is necessary to unlock Celestia's ending.

Celestia's Trigger Happy Heart
Is now a good time for it…?
But…
To just bring it up out of nowhere…
Will he think I’m weird?
Makoto seems like he’s definitely C-rank material…
But after that…
Once I’ve achieved my dreams, reached my goals, hit my quota in life…
could he be the type of person who can just… stand by my side?
Could he maybe… rank up even more?
Options
Affirmation: Stand By My Side
I think… I can. I can stand by your side.
You say you “think” and then you say you “can”. So? Which is it? Are you confident or not?
I-I am!
Well… And do you have any actual reason to be so confident?
No, it is you. Of course you don’t.
A reason…? I just think helping you work hard toward your dream would be a lot of fun.
…Is that right? Well, if you are truly committed, then I am prepared to accept that commitment.
She didn’t sound and different from normal, but somehow she seemed…happy.
It looks to me like she had a really good time.
Negation: Think I’m Weird
I don’t think you’re weird at all.
What? I did not say anything…
Oh, um, I know… But the face you’re making right now, it’s as if you *did* say something. But listen… no matter what you say to me, I won’t think it’s weird. I won’t laugh at you.
You have been waiting for your opportunity to strike, I see. Appalling… Your type does not live long, you know. And yet…
No, never mind. When the time comes, I will tell you about the direction your future should be headed.
I think we both had a pretty good time.
Affirmation: Think I’m Weird
To be honest… I *am* a little surprised.
…Huh? What are you talking about? Now *I’m* the one who is surprised. It is as if you are reading my mind…
Well, it’s just… you looked like something was troubling you. And I figured you probably wouldn’t want to just start talking about it all of a sudden.
I see. Interesting…
So that’s the level of person you are. How unfortunate…
I get the feeling she didn’t have much fun…
Negation: Stand By My Side
I really don’t think that’s possible…
Oh? So you’re giving up before you’ve even begun? But you truly are a C-rank. You may not have confidence, but that’s really nothing to be ashamed of.
Y-Yeah…
I don’t think things could have gone any worse than that. Crap…
Celestia's Ending
If Makoto has achieved all 10 hearts by the 51st day of School Mode, Makoto will unlock Celestia's ending.
Celestia's School Mode Ending
Makoto… do you remember my dream? To realize that dream…
…I will allow you to give me all of yourself. At last, things are ready to begin.
S-Sorry, but… what are you talking about?
You do not have to play dumb. You do not have to pretend to be shy anymore.
From now on… …you may serve me, as my knight. I am granting you the opportunity to obtain true peace of mind. Go ahead, you may rejoice.
Umm… I mean, yeah, I’m pretty happy right now.
How very modest of you.
Well, that is fine.
By the way… You obviously know our next destination after we leave this place, yes?
Destination…?
A round-the-world trip in a luxury yacht?
You wanted to go around the world in a nice, fancy yacht, right?
Ah… That is not a bad idea, either.
Yeah… it definitely seems like something you’d do.
However… That is not correct. Rejected. Try again.
I will ask you one more time. What is our next destination?
A nice, quite hot spring hotel?
Did you want to go on a nice, refreshing trip to a hot spring hotel?
Now is no time for such forgetfulness, Makoto.
I will ask you one more time. What is our next destination?
A European castle?
You wanted to buy a European castle, right?
I knew you would remember. You truly are worthy of serving as my knight. Perhaps it’s time to consider promoting you to B-rank.
What?
Perhaps it’s time to consider promoting you to B-rank.
Umm…huh?
Perhaps it’s time to consider promoting you to B-rank.
Th-Thank you…?
Hmhm. Naturally. However… You should not thank me just yet. Bear in mind that your promotion depends on the work you put in from this point forward.
Got it…
My dream… To live in a European castle… And collect beautiful butler-slash-bodyguards from around the world, and dress them like vampires… Then I will spend the rest of my life worshipping such beauty in my world of decadence.
Now then, Makoto. Please begin making our preparations immediately.
Huh? I-I have to do it!?
Graduating from Hope’s Peak was to guarantee me a lifetime of success. That was how I intended to raise the funds I would need. But unfortunately, that no longer appears to be an option.
O-Oh… But doing what you ask isn’t as easy as you make it sound, you know.
Perhaps, but it is not impossible. With you standing next to me, I am certain…
Celeste has a solid grasp on her hope for the future… What’s *in* the dream is all over the place, but she was shining so bright, I thought I might go blind.
Remember - this is your master’s dream. As such, you should consider it *your* dream, as well.
Now, let us depart. Onward, toward the day we stand atop our castle together.
Celeste held out her hand to me… Trying my best to assume the role of a “knight”, I took it with as much respect as possible. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know what to expect when it comes to the people here. Celeste has high expectations, so I have to think hard about what I can do to live up to them. For the first time since coming to this school, a vivid image of the future filled my heart…
After completing Celestia's school mode ending, you will receive the following Present:
112. Celestia's Undergarments
Celestia's favorite dark-hued panties. Their most notable feature is the tulle lace, and it's rumored that a C-rank human can't bear to gaze upon them. They give off the distinct air of a queen.
