One Question[]
Hello guys!
I saw the PV for the OVA, and I'm pretty hyped for it, not gonna lie. There's a lot of things that I'm lookng forward to, from DR0 characters seeming to actually be animated (and the fact that we see Ryoko and Isshiki animated) to them actually doing Mukuro right when she notices Naegi. There's just one thing that bugs me, and I dont see anyone asking this question (unless it's been explained already, and I'm living under a rock), so I'm gonna ask this myself.
Why is Sayaka Maizono in this anime?
Seriously, why is she here? What's the reasoning? This seems to be a world drawin up by Nagito's own imagination. It'd be fine if she just had a cameo, (Like the Pikachu Girl, holy shit. They capitalized off of her popularity that quickly?), but from the PV, she seems to have quite a bit of screentime. Nagito's only really seen her in a magazine that he randomly picked up to give to Teruteru. I dont think he knows her that well at all. I just want to know why. I believe that she might be here so that we can get a good look at the extent of Sayaka and Makoto's relationship before The Tragedy, but... it jsut catches me off guard that she, out of everyone in the 78th class, is here.

- my assumption is that this will be yet another kibou hen, trying to pander and please everyone so desperately it loses itself, the themes, and what its truly meant to be about in the process. then again, my viewpoint is really negative.
- i'd say seeing pretty much every student appearing makes sense. since we do have that moment of komaeda paralleling naegi and explaining that he has researched all the shsls just like naegi did at the beginning of sdr2. but the focus shots regarding maizono and naegi are really out of place. unless they will be presented from the viewer's pov and then switch to komaeda's, maybe showing him walking past the two, to show how much of a "not protagonist" he is. that'd be interesting.
- but, i hope the ova remembers who and who's relationship it's supposed to (or rather should) be about, and won't wander too much into pointless fanservice territory. but considering all that it has shown us (cough the scene with komaeda and tsumiki cough) has been pretty much just that, i expect it to be just as badly paced, focused, and trashy as zesubou hen was.
